To sum up the Silk Mill in one word it would have to be WOW! We loved it. Everything has been thought of and considered. What an amazing place. The decor is gorgeous. You can tell that the owners really love this place with no expense spared on the finishing touches. Wirksworth is a lovely quaint place. The Hope and Anchor do a lovely Sunday dinner. If there was a downside for folk it would be the amount of stairs but this was not an issue for us. The views were worth it. Just LOVED it!!!!

This is the second time I have stayed here. The attention to detail is fabulous. The breakfast basket was delicious and that Jam was amazing. We all really enjoyed the stay. 5 plus all round. Thank you and keep up the good work.

What a beautiful property!! This was a perfect location for our girls weekend. The house is decorated so stylishly (even better than the pictures) and is really clean and comfortable. The facilities were top notch and we definitely made the most of the hot tub. I really hope to get the opportunity top return here as we loved it!

Amazing property with very high quality furnishings. It has everything you need and very comfortable. The location is great with lots to do and also very nice pubs and resturants close by. The hot tub I'd a brilliant addition and we used this a lot over the weekend. Highly recommend and would love to come back.

A beautiful house with lovely furnishings and fittings. Separate towels for showers and the hot tub and even specific drinks glasses for the hot tub which was great! A surprise hamper of goodies from a local shop was a great treat. Having the door code made it easy as a group to split up as we didnt need to worry about who had the key. The kitchen was very well equipped and bedrooms were lovely and comfy. A great stay!

A lovely property in a very interesting place. Wirksworth was a real surprise. Loved walking around the little pathways between the houses. Also enjoyed walking along the Cromford canal as naturally that was level amongst a multitude of uphill walks. Im sure the walks in the uphill areas were lovely but it was 39 degrees! Ideally placed for visiting Chatsworth and Bakewell. The property did get very hot but it was exceptional weather. Not good for those with mobility issues as many stairs

Beautiful and perfect place to stay whilst in the Peak District, Wirksworth is very pretty and it's easy to get out for lovely walks ect Silk Mill House has character, comfort, quality and views ... and a lovely hot tub. Beautiful house. Very comfortable and stylish. Great location just a minutes walk to pubs, cafes and local shops. Also great for exploring the Peak District, we visited Go Ape at Buxton. Walked the Monsal Trail at Bakewell, went to heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath & did walks at Thors Cave, Carsington Water & Mam Tor. Had lots of lovely pub garden lunches as weather was great for April. Would definitely go back!

This is an amazing cottage in the heart of Wilksworth. The cottage itself is decorated beautifully throughout and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The hamper of goodies upon arrival was a lovely touch and the fresh produce went down well. Communication was great and professional. Wilksworth has some lovely waking trails, we spent hours exploring. The town has some lovely pubs and boutique shops, something for everyone. We will definitely be back!

We had the most amazing time in Silk Mill House. Even though we had seen the pictures we were still blown away by the look and feel of the place. Everything was clean and tidy, the kitchen well equipped, and all furnishings finished to a high standard. The house was in a fab location and the space felt private and homely. Hot tub was great! Would definitely come again! Thank you for having us.

This is a very well appointed house in a secluded cul de sac close to the centre of Wirksworth. It was very clean and had been recently decorated. A great deal of thought had gone into the layout and amenities. I would highly recommend this high end property.

"An absolutely fantastic place to stay. The house itself is beautiful and the location is perfect with great places to eat and drink just steps away. Even though the house is centrally located it is peaceful and the views from the upstairs windows are breathtaking. We were given a welcome pack with bread, cakes etc and milk which was lovely. The owners also give you a pass for the car park if your car is too big for the narrow lane. "

"Fantastic luxury mill house. Furnished to a very high standard and everything was immaculate. The patio hot tub is just fab but missed not having a garden. The owners are not on site but when contacted couldn’t have been more helpful. The mill house is tucked away but centrally located. Wirksworth is a very attractive small town with a good selection of shops, restaurants & cafes. The Peak District is a beautiful area to visit with good walks, lots of places to visit. Recommend booking."

"There were five of us staying in the cottage, me, my husband, sister and her eighteen and eleven year old. The cottage layout was absolutely spot on for us, with one bedroom on the bottom floor with its own loo and shower and the other two bedrooms on the middle floor with a beautiful bathroom. Top floor was the lounge and kitchen area, with fantastic views out over the hills in the distance. We had a brilliant time and would not hesitate to recommend Silk Mill to anyone"

"A beautiful house in a fantastic location. The property itself was impeccably clean with lots of surprising ‘little extras’ included. Everything about the decoration was beautiful and comfortable. The parking was very easy and the parking pass included works in other car parks around the Peak District too. The location was great and within very easy reach of lots of adventures and visits for a family with young children. There is more we want to see so we will probably be returning"

"Silk Mill House is a beautifully renovated old building and the owners had thought of everything to make a holiday home enjoyable and more! Kayleigh could not have been more helpful and communicative. We really cannot sing the Silk Houses praises enough. Perfect location too as all the places we wanted to visit in the Peak District were no more than half an hour away. Wirksworth is a pretty little market town with its own steam train/great little eateries etc. We would highly recommend it!"
